A film is a dream seen with your eyes wide open.
Following a two year hiatus from the movie theaters due to the pandemic, Istanbul Film Festival returned entirely to its natural habitat. To celebrate this homecoming and the festival’s 41st anniversary, we crafted a story to pay homage to the festival’s heritage and the emotional potential of cinema. We used the analogy of a dream to represent film’s ability to reveal new realities and possibilities, which we likened to dreams witnessed throughout the city - a 41 year old dream, to be exact.
Our campaign film features screens floating around Istanbul, carrying projections of iconic movie scenes with them, blurring the line between reality and a dream-like state.
The 41st Istanbul Film Festival will be held on April 8-19, and will feature 157 dreams had by 164 different directors.
